Custom Ash Hurling Sticks | Powerful GAA Hurleys

Custom Ash Hurling Sticks for GAA Training and Play

Custom Ash Hurling Sticks are designed for players, clubs, schools, academies and sports retailers looking for a traditional wooden hurley with flexible custom manufacturing options. This product is positioned for hurling practice, skill development, club equipment programmes and private-label sports supply. Buyers can specify the intended player group, length, branding and production requirements before bulk manufacturing.

Premium Ash Hurling Stick Construction

Ash is a traditional material used for wooden hurling sticks because it provides a practical combination of strength, feel and controlled flexibility. The finished characteristics depend on the timber selection, grain, shaping, drying, finishing and manufacturing process. For a bulk order, the final wood grade, dimensions, weight, handle profile and bas specification should be confirmed before production.

Customizable Hurling Sticks for Clubs and Teams

Custom Ash Hurling Sticks can be produced for clubs, schools, academies, retailers and sports brands that require consistent equipment across a group. Custom options may include club or company branding, handle finish, colour details, packaging and other agreed production requirements. This makes the product suitable for OEM, private-label and wholesale sports-equipment programmes.

Choosing the Correct Hurley Size

The GAA coaching guidance recommends selecting hurley length according to the player. A practical sizing method is to have the player stand relaxed with the arms down and use the distance from the ground to the wrist as a guide. The GAA also advises that a shorter, lighter hurley can be especially suitable for children and beginners. Players should be able to handle the hurley comfortably and progressively make larger circles without excessive strain.

Current GAA Hurley Dimensions

The GAA approved updated hurley dimensions in January 2025. The published dimensions provide a useful reference when developing products for the modern game: juvenile hurleys are up to and including 26 inches with a maximum bas of 15 cm; junior or youth hurleys are up to and including 30 inches with a maximum bas of 16 cm; senior or adult hurleys range from 30 inches up to and including 37 inches with a maximum bas of 17 cm; and an adult goalkeeper hurley has a maximum bas size of 21 cm. Final production should follow the applicable rules and competition requirements for the intended player group.

Hurling Sticks for Skill Development

A well-matched hurley supports repeated practice of striking, first touch, lifting, blocking, hand positioning and ball control. Coaches can select appropriate sizes for different player groups and build equipment sets around training needs. For younger players, the correct length and manageable weight are particularly important for developing sound technique and confidence.

Custom Logo and OEM Hurling Stick Manufacturing

THIZ International supports custom sports-equipment production for brands, clubs, distributors and wholesalers. Buyers can provide logo artwork and production preferences for review before manufacturing. Customization can cover branding, finish, packaging and agreed specifications, allowing organizations to build a consistent branded hurling-stick range.

Quality Control Before Bulk Production

Before bulk production, buyers should confirm the intended player category, overall length, bas dimensions, wood specification, handle profile, finish, weight range and branding artwork. A pre-production sample can be reviewed when the order requires a specific feel or repeatable specification. For products intended for official competition, buyers should also verify the current GAA rules and any applicable competition requirements.

Wholesale Hurling Sticks for Sports Buyers

Wholesale buyers can source custom ash hurling sticks for clubs, schools, academies, retailers and sports distributors. Bulk production can be coordinated around agreed sizes, artwork, packaging and delivery requirements. This approach is useful for organizations that need a consistent supply across a season or a retail product range.
